Problems with Firefox

I've been a longtime Opera user, and I thought I'd try out Firefox 1.0. I like the functionality, but I've been having problems connecting to a wide variety of web servers. When I type in an address, it'll say "can't find server," but on a second try, it loads with no problem. This isn't just one site, but so far about 8 different sites in an hour time frame. It's very frustrating. Is this a Firefox problem, or something else?

I haven't had such issues with FF. Perhaps you could try to see if you have any Proxy Connections setup. That's the only thing I can think of besides spy/ad/etc-ware.

i have a similar prob... i click a link....nothing happens....click it again loads up fine
