We recently just purchased a new Xserve to be our file server. Our old
file server is now our web hosting server. We used ditto to copy the
files over to the new machine (we do not have a raid). The problem is
that many of the files and folders that were moved over are not visible
from within the finder. The only time you can see that they are there
is when you view them in Terminal. Would this be a problem with the
resource fork for these files and folders? Is there a way to recreate
the resource forks?
Also, does anyone know if there is a log file that is created for the
root user or a log available to view that shows everything that was
done inside terminal?
