Problems With Display..Please Help!!!

hey everyone..ok i have a serious problem...i just bought my computer..its a p4,3.2,250gb hard drive, 4gb ram,intel 875 motherboard, ati x800pro 256mb video card....now the thing is that every so once in a while my monitor shows vertical lines across it and then in a few seconds/minutes it dissapears...while this is happening and i click on my mouse button i can see the lines move..i have a pic of this...hmmm how can i upload it here? please help!!!!
 
You can upload them here, then post the link. There are other image hosting sites, but I like that one because there's no registration required.

Did you get a new monitor? It could be that the monitor is malfunctioning if it is an older monitor. Do you have a different monitor to hook your up your computer? That's my first thought, don't know if it will help.
