Google doesn't turn anything up on it. What the deal is, is that my mic won't even work in the X-mod's line in, like absolutely no response in Audacity. Further, the "microphone" device listing says "unavailable."
I have a pair of AKG k27i's headphones with a super high sensitivity, and yelling into them produces quiet to normal conversational volume output. This is with the headphones plugged into the the mic jack.
This is pretty annoying, as I got these things for the mic port. The mic port on my laptop is broken, and I happen to have a USB DAC already. So, basically, I have three separate DAC's, with NO F*in' ADC.
So, did I get a dud, or is there a magic switch somewhere that fixes it?
--EDIT--
Sorry, I had a lot of trouble sleeping last night. Basically I'm a nincompoop. Apparently you are supposed to toggle between the two recording "devices" by selecting one as your default, and the other will become unavailable. So, the problem was that the line-in channel isn't boosted.
I feel like such an idiot sometimes.
