Problems with connecting pc to tv.

I have a radeon 9100 and when i connect it to the tv throught svideo out the picture does not come out right. the screen keeps on flickering and its black and white. any suggesstion on how to fix this problem?
 
i have the same problem and i dont know why. the screen flickers like crazy making the post and boot up screens un-readable until it gets to windows im connnecting it via s-video cable to a sony wega 27 inch which is about 3 years old.
 
Does the S-video cable work with other things? Sounds like a possible bad cable or TV out on the card.

Is there an RCA output on the card you could try?

Edit: also make sure there's not something running in the background forcing the refresh rate to be higher than it should be. I'm not sure what it is on a TV, but I'm fairly sure its under 60htz.
