Problems with connectin the Power switch

I had to take out the old parts from my older case, and to put there my parts from a newer PC of mine, and then bnuy new parts for the empty case.
I replaced all the parts there, and now in the new case the parts don't work, the PC just doesn't light up.
I think it might be cause the wire are not in the same order like in the newer case (there everything worked) but when I come to think about it I think it is the same order! (I will check again, i'm not home).

Could I have fried something when connecting these wires plug (with PWR/HD/SPK/RESET) in a wrong way?

Thanks.

I had to read that a couple times!

Sure it's possible you mixed up those wires, they're small and so are the pins that they go on. If need be, you can just connect the "power" switch and leave the rest unconnected, and see if it powers on. If it does, then just connect one at a time. Consult your motherboard's manual for a map of what goes where.
