problems with comp. turning itself on.

I have a box built with amd 2200+ cpu and the abit va-10 mobo.

My problem is when you plug the ac cord in the psu, it'll turn the pc on automatically. even if the power switch is hooked up on not. I don't have to hit anything??

Anyone have this problem before??

Does it boot up completely? Has it always done this? New build?

In the bios there should be an option to set the pc state upon power restoration. Change it to off instead of on.

new build for me. i just bought the whole setup off the forum.

it was a full system minus memory and psu. So i added a psu and memory.
