Problems with Celeron II 733

We recently upgraded to a Celeron II 733 and an Abit VL6 motherboard and upon a clean install of Windows 98 SE we would get Windows registry errors. With this motherboard we had to use the user define option in the soft menu since there was no listing for the 733(66). We used the 11x multiplier with the 66mhz bus. We then installed a PIII 600E and went through a clean Windows 98 SE install and had no problems. We then tried a Celeron II 566 and again everything was ok. Does anybody have any experience with this processor or motherboard or has seen windows register error messages and know what they mean. Thanks.

I have a Celeron 633 on a ABIT VH6 and had to set it up as USER DEFINE to get it to work as well.

Have you checked for an updated BIOS for your motherboard?
