problems with celeron 600 need help

i have a CUSL2 mobo and a celron 600 running 100/100/33 and i have 128 generic ram which makes it 900 mhz but when i go to benchmark the screen freezes on me but when i play motorcross madness 2 i have no problems. Anyone know what the problem could be. screen even freezes at 600 on benchmark.Need help. is there something special i need to do.
