when i look at my device manager, there seems to be a problem w/ by cdrom i have the conflict (exclamation points) next to it.

in properties of the cdrom it says "your registry might be corrupted (Code 19)"

any ideas on fixing this?

also, everytime i try to reinstall the drivers i get an error that says "an error occured during the installation of this device. the system cannot find the file specified.

what's going on here??

Post more info. What cdrom and is it working? What driver are you trying to install, and how?

well i upgraded to via 4.29 beta drivers and rebooted. after rebooting i had tons of problems-
cpu to pci bridge was disabled because it was having problems, my video settings were all messed up because my radeon was having problems as well, my cdrom had conlifcts and my monitor had conflicts.

by some miracle of god i managed to get my cpu to pci bridge and video card working perfect again, but i have been unable to resolve the conflicts with my cdrom and my monitor.

"your registry might be corrupted (Code 19)"

I just have the same problem....now I can't see my DVD and CDRW any more
they were both working without any glitch at all...until I decided to install WinOnCD 3.8...I didn't install "CD-Rom emulator" option...figure that I don't need it...after reboot.....those drives are gone...
I didn't backup the registry.
I don't want to go through the precess of installation win2k again..
please help...thanks
