Problems with Canon A75

Got an A75 last December, and it started making some strange noises today. Whenever I turn it on/off or zoom in and out, the motor makes some strange noise that it never has before. It still works, but it kind of sounds like its slipping or grinding or something, similar to what it might sound like if the motor was trying to move while being held in place. It sometimes makes this sound for a second after I have stopped zooming, almost like something is being adjusted or focused internally. Argh... I don't want to have it randomly die somewhere so I guess I'll have to get a new one. Damn thing didn't last very long.
Anyone else have an experience like this with an A75? I got the camera in the first place because it was highly rated everywhere I looked.
