I recently bought a stick of Kingston HyperX 2700 512 ran.
I switched it out with my old 2100 value ram.

I was messing with an older computer so I took my DVD drive out.
The computer was working fine. I put it back in and I put new ram in.

Anyways the main problem is now when I burn a cd. Nero will take all my CPU I cant even be on the computer while its burning. Everything will open very slowly. It takes 50-75% longer to burn a cd. And its usally at 50% instead of a 100% for buffer.

I unplugged my DVD drive thinking maybe I messed it up or something causing the IDE cable to mess up. Nope still does that.

I tried an old IDE cable. But that gave me all kinds of errors. Computer freezes. Unstable. Rebooting. So I plugged the other one in. Still does the same slow burn speed and take up all cpu any clue?

Also I gave my old ram away to a friend. So thats not a possibility to check the old kind anymore.

Also this new ram seems kinda slow not much faster than my value ram. Also it gets choppy a bit during GTA 3. I have a LeadTek Geforce 4 Ti4400.

Any clue about the burner. Is it a ram issue? Do I need a new IDE cable. Do I need a new burner?
