problems with aztech a338 pci sound card in AZ11

I have had the card for about a year. For most of that period it was used in a soyo bx board. It worked fine. Now that I have a FIC AZ11 I am having some problems. Whenever I play sound from any source for more than a short period of time I get a blue screen that says "PCI error: a338- 1000x800 - press any key to continue" or something to that effect. I press a key and I am returned to the previous screen but the computer is frozen and I must reset it. I have onboard sound turned off. I installed the service pack that came with the motherboard. Any ideas? I am thinking it could possibly be my windows installation since I pulled it from a hard drive with an LX board and was too lazy to format and do a full reinstall.
