problems with avg2011 free & latest update

Looks like AVG 2011 has a major problem with its last update - if you reboot as it suggests, win 7 goes to recovery mode. If you let it it will use the last restore point. that worked for me and then of course AVG updates itself and wants to update - so if you have AVG 2011 you may want to not update for a few days. Looked briefly at their forums and may be a big problem. I am running win 7 business64 bit on PIIx4 - in case it is setup specific and somebody here is tracking it.

I decided to uninstall it and went with mse after reasonable reviews here. that was the last straw for me as AVG also seems to want to flag WOW downloader a lot lately. I made an exception for that but since it wasnt working - time to try something else for a bit

Same thing happened to me with Vista 64. Restarted and it gets to the Windows splash screen and then reboots and gives me options with safemode etc. No matter which one I pick if I try to get to windows I just repeat this loop.

Thinking i might go to MSE as well.
