Problems with Audigy 2 Platinum and speakers

Okey I just bought a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 PLatinum and I tried using some old 2.1 speakers i have(the speakers use the red/white plug-ins) and when I try to plug them into the drive on the fron of the computer which contains the red/white connectors I get no sound. I played around with plugging them into the back of the card and I only get a very low sound even with the sound at full blast. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!😀

Unfortunately, those are INPUTS. You'll have to get an adapter so that you can connect your RCA plugs into the back of the actual sound card's 1/8" minijacks.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't read your post correctly. What speakers are you trying to connect to the sound card? It sounds like you need some kind of receiver or amp to power the speakers... the connect the receiver to the sound card.

I'm trying to connect altec lansing xa3021's right now, I tried some old logitechs but it looks like the sub blew out after a few minutes of use.

Does anyone know if I have to enable anything? I already configuered it to 2.1 and i can get sound out of headphones just fine but thats about it.

You mentioned these are old speakers. Are they powered? The A2, like any other modern sound card, requires powered speakers. If your last sound card was an old AWE32, PnP16, or equivalent, forget it. Newer cards don't come with pre-amps any more. Time to upgrade your speakers.

Yeah the speakers are powered. right now im using some reallly old speakers(just 2 speakers that plug-into the headphone jack)
