Problems with antivirus and certain internet sites.

Hi, I currently have a problem with Norton Antivirus 2004 and certain internet sites such as ebay. Whenever I have auto protection enabled and goes to ebay, my cpu usage goes up to 100%. It stays there for a few mins. My computer becomes super slow and you can't do anything. But when I disabled auto protection, this problem doesn't occur. I am running the latest version of IE6 and window XP with all the critical updates. What could be causing this problem? Also I have the google toolbar pop-up blocker...but this doesn't seem to be causing the problem.

The problem just started to happen a few days ago. I donno whats wrong. Please help! Thanks in advance!
