Problems with an older data storage unit

I have two older Vax computer systems. This includes 2 sets of a mickey and a minnie drive. I have been told that there is absolutely no known way to transfer the data in these units to a windows based data storage unit. The software utilized in the Vax units is called Aim. The company that owns the software at this time has not been able to come up with a conversion method to windows or anything else. Does any one have any ideas? Thank you in advance, Jim.

What, you want software that can read the drive's filesystem?
If not, then I don' think it would be that hard to hook up the VAX to a PC via null modem, or perhaps ethernet, and transfer stuff that way?

Yeah. Modem or Null Modem transfers are the standby way that data is transferred between "foreign" OSes. Hopefully your current applications can export data in CSV or another standard format for transfer to a new application.
