Ok, well I got my new AiW 9800 last night and installed it today. I previously had a Nvidia GeForce in the system. I uninstalled Nvidia's drivers, rebooted to safe mode, and then used Driver Cleaner to remove all the info in the registry. Everything seemed to go fine. I then powered down and removed the GeForce and then installed the AiW 9800. System booted up and I proceeded to install the drivers and software for the new video card. Again, everything seemed to go fine. I ran 3Dmark2003 as well as played a few games, and it is pretty sweet especially compaired to what I had.
Anyway, the problem is the TV tuner does not seem to work, or at least I can't seem to get it to work. This is the first AiW I have installed so it could very well be that I am doing something wrong. I installed the tv-capture-wdm 6.14.10.6201v1 as well as the catalyst 3.5 drivers. Whenever I click on the "TV" icon in the WMD it brings up the splash screen and then pops up a error box "Unable to start TV: The TV player failed to initialize the video. Check the device manager to ensure that the correct video driver has been installed and is working properly before attempting to restart TV. PC Check may help diagnose this problem." Well, I checked the device manager and everything is installed and working properly. I also ran PC Check and no problems are reported there (not anymore, one of my DVD-/+R/RW did not have DMA enabled, but it does now). I looked on ATI's website, but was not able to find any more information other then just a README with the tv-capture drivers that said to basically check the device manager and fix any problems reported in there, but like I said, there are no problems reported in there...
Anyone here get an AiW working properly, or can anyone walk me through the proper way of installing an AiW? Thanks in advance.
P.S. The Remote Wonder also does not seem to be responding. The "test" when in the configuration where you can specify an ID for the remote does not detect that I hit the power button on the remote. Not sure if this is part of the problem or just another issue entirely.
