Problems with adobe acrobat and logitech setpoint software..

Hey guys,

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional v8.1.1 and it functions properly until I install logitech setpoint software and drivers for my mouse. After installing the setpoint software and drivers and I try to open a pdf file, the pdf doesnt resize properly.

I checked over at the adobe forums and people do have the problem

What do you use Acrobat Professional for exactly? In my expierce acrobat anything is a bloated crap pile. Foxit software, should have an pro version available so you can edit. read, create, etc. pdf files.

So that explains it... I started experiencing this same problem last week. I realize now that the new keyboard I got last week is to blame.

Turning on/off the index thingy when the window is maximized seems to solve the problem for me.

Some PDFs open with a "Bookmarks" column on the left, usually containing a table of contents. Exaggerated example

Problem is when there isnt a book mark tab/column you cant really do much....the problem still exists.

Try hitting F4 a couple of times.

What I wanna know is how a keyboard daemon is interfering with Acrobat and nothing else. Guesses anyone?

Ahh...thanks that worked !
I have no clue how setpoint is effecting Adobe Acrobat.....its really annoying..



The next problem I have is, when I click a pdf link in IE 7, and after I click continue to Vista's UAC, I get this error:

"There is a problem With Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and try again."

I hit ok in that window, and click continue to Vista's UAC, and it opens a blank Acrobat window...then another UAC window pops up and I click continue and it opens the pdf from the link in a different window.......How do I get pdfs to display in IE 7?

Tools/Manage Addons/Enable or Disable Addons

Make sure Adobe PDF Reader is enabled.

I got this to work for anyone interested....

I went to the folder where acrobat is installed by default for me it was:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat

and I right clicked on Acrobat.exe, went to compatiblility tab, and set the compatibility mode to WinXP SP2...and now it works in IE7...
