I finished building my computer earlier on and have been consistently getting a C1 post code. However, it doesn't always fail to boot as I can occasionally get into the BIOS. When I have managed to get into the BIOS, I've tried upping the RAM voltage, changing the speed, manually setting the timings etc. I have also tried the RAM in all of the slots. The other problem I have is that when I set anything in the BIOS, the CMOS will not remember this and I will have to clear it tp get another boot out of the machine. I don't know whether the CMOS is having trouble as I always have to clear it to restart the machine, but I've reseated the battery and tried my brother's battery as well with no effect. Can anyone give me some ideas for fixing this? I really don't want to have to get some new RAM as Abit claim mine is supported. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Managed to get it working by dropping the speed to 533 MHz and the ratio to 1:1. It's not perfect, but I'll stick with it until a BIOS update.
