problems with a SOHO network intermittently stopping

I have 2 computers on a simple network with a Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router, and intermittently the shared internet connection stops working. when i reset the router that fixes the problem for about 1-5 hours but that is a rather inconvienient stopgap measure. it isnt the internet connection itself becuase i have tested the connection directly into the cable modem when the network is not working and it works fine from there. any ideas?

Try updating the firmware on the router and the drivers for the clients ?
