Okay, so check this...
My buddy's Compaq Presario 1600 XL145 notebook has been messing up. So he upgrades to Win2k. Now there's all these compatibility issues (drivers, etc...) so he needs to go to good ol' Microsoft to get driver updates. Well, to do this Verizon DSL must be reinstalled (to get to the Internet, duuuhhhh)
So we pop the Verizon CD in, it spins... reads the CD and everything, but Autorun doesn't kick in. So we just shoot over to Explorer and click Setup to run it from there. It spins... but nothing happens. I copy the whole CD to the hard drive, try to run the Setup file from there... nothing happens. Now, the DVD rom isn't malfunctioning becuase it reads and installs from other CDs fine.
What could be the issue with this one CD / file???
So weird
😱
