Problems with 9700 and Sprindale too? Or just Canterwood?

I know that some people are having problems with their older 9700s and the Canterwoods. But is this a problem with the Springdales too?

I took a look at the card while it was in my case and couldn't see anything about a revision number. Where should I look? PN is 109 95700 01.

The last 2 digits 01 is the revision #.You have the same revision as me 01.I am getting the Asus P4P800 Springdale.

I have rev 01 9700Pro actually I got the first batch from newegg when it was about 1 week old. I have the Abit IS7 and have NO issues at AGP8x

Yes, if your Vid Card P/N (partnumber) is less than xx-xxxx-30.

And also is there any way to fix this problem with a new bios?

No. This is a hardware compatibility issue with most current Dual Channel memory Intel Chipsets.

Do you know what revision your 9700 is?

Mine was a P/N xx-xxxx-11, and it had FastWrites issues (must be disabled) in order for it to work with the E7205 Intel chipset. Most people who do not have this issue most likely have P/N xx-xxxx-30 or better.
