Problems with 12.41 on Geforce 2 MX

Installed the new drivers but can't access the overlay options. I've got an old Geforce 2 MX. With the new drivers I can't turn off Twinview. Even though I've chosen "Standard (Twin View Disabled)" there are always two monitors displayed on the settings menu and extended desktop is nowere to be found. When I click on Twinview settings, the card switches the refreshrate everytime. I've had no problems with the 6.50 drivers. Am I doing something terrible wrong or what? What's new in these drivers for the MX anyway. Do I need them to play Direct X 8 games?

I am not familiar with the Twinview changes but the video overlay options can only be changed when a video is playing in the background
 
In the 6.50 drivers there are an additional menu that is separate from the Twinview settings. It is called "Overlay Color Control". I don't use Twinview very often but it seems to work OK on the 6.50 drivers plus you can turn it off.
