Problems while viewing YouTube videos

I've googled for an answer, but no result. Also, I've got the feeling that when discussing problems with the size of YouTube videos, the problem discussed is not the one I'm talking about.

When I watch videos on YouTube, some of the videos are the right size. Others are too large for the screen, so, for example, if the video's title is

In other words, sections are missing, because the video is too large to fit within the screen. Also when I use YouTube's “Theatre Mode” and “Full Screen”.

It does not happen with all videos.

I normally use Firefox and Windows 8.1.

I've tried to change YouTube's own settings, no improvement.

I've tried various Firefox addons, no improvement either.

In advance, I thank you all.

depends on what the video it`s self is recorded in as 720p 1080 ..um quality of vid`s older the crappier..i found in full screen mode you may find most of the vid`s are very poor in quality..the best thing if in full screen mode is to shrink it down....also you should look at getting ad-ons for firefox just google ..firefox addons you will have to sort through them there are 1000`s..depending on your issues with the net...

Thanks for the answer.

Some of the videos are new, some are “old”.

The problem started a few months back.

The problem is there also when I use the “small” YouTube screen. I rarely use “Theatre Mode” and “Full Screen.”

I’ve tried Firefox addons. No improvement. Also, as far as I can see, they change the size and position of YouTube’s screen. Not the size of the video inside the YouTube’s screen.

My computers work fine, on and off the internet.

I’ll stop using YouTube for six months or one year, and then I’ll check and see if the problem is still there.

Again, thanks for your help.

Could you give us the Make/Model of your monitor? Also have you tried watching the same problem videos in IE or Chrome??
