Problems w/ Netgear 310TX and Win2k?

Anyone having a problem w/ the combo w/ regards to file sharing/serving. When I run my hotline server, I tend to get spontaneous reboots. And I get crashes sometimes when I share files (when someone is getting something from me).

Has anyone encountered this?

What I have to try is reinstalling the drivers (which came w/ win2k, no other ones for it) and maybe moving the card to a different PCI slot. Anything else (other than try a new card)?

Works OK for me with the W2K default driver. Mine is connected to the cable modem though. I'm assuming there are no conflicts in Device manager and you tried a different cable? Do you have it set to auto sense the connection type? Might try forcing it down to a 10 Base connection and see if the problem persists.

I've been running 2K on my box since late January and have been using two FA310TXs, one connected to my cable modem, the other to my internal network and haven't had any network related problems.

grr. i can't seem to pinpoint this.. i uploaded from a friends comp to mine.. it worked, crashed, crashed, worked. Seemed to work w/ small files.

Gaming is no prob tho 🙂

Could it be the wire? grr.. i have another one i could try. hrmm. i may have to boot into win98 for this now. grrr.

have you tried running a hotline server? Or sharing files over a LAN (ppl uploading to you or downloading from you)?

I still have the problem after reinstalling drivers, moving the nic, switching wires...

Any other suggestions?
