I'm build a new htpc (replacing the old XP1800+ machine w/ a ATI tv wonder software encoding tuner). I bought a PVR150 and it installed fine with latest drivers. Watching tv is fine, and it seems to record fine (set to mpeg2 at various settings). However, the files don't play back correctly. If I open them in the Hauppauge bundled tv software they're fine. If I try to play them in Media Player (10) they play ok for a while and then lock up. If I try to jump around in the file at all it locks immediately. When I play them in my htpc software (meedio) they lock up almost instantly. Either lockup forces a Ctrl-Alt-Del to end task (media player or meedio).
Any idea what's wrong here? The tuner is useless to me if I can't play the files in anything else! I've tried playing them on other machines too, no better there. I installed the latest hauppauge software decoder codec and it was no improvement. Even tried some freeware mpeg decoder from sourceforge, no help either.
