Hello, just today I went to boot up Final Fantasy 8 on my computer and it just dumped back to the desktop after the screen flashed a few times. Disgruntled, I went to play Star Trek: Armada, and it did the same thing. After tinkering around for a while, I noticed that in the Final Fantasy 8 config program it was showing no Direct3D accelerators. I booted up Quake 3 and it worked fine, which led me to believe that the OpenGL is still working fine, just not Direct3D. I am using the latest (official) drivers from Nvidia (6.36 I think) w/ a TnT2 card, and I also have a VooDoo2 in this machine which also "disappeared". I did recently upgrade to DirectX 8.0 but Direct3D was working after that. Oh yeah, using Win2k OS. Anyone have any ideas?
