That could be the problem ... your CPU is running very warm...when the heat is on in your house at 70 degree...it will cause those temp to raise even higher...your "random" restarts and shutdowns may be the result of the CPU protecting itself from overheating. If you have the PC on the floor or in a cabnit in a desk try to move it on top of the desk or put a fan some where around the pc to see if that solves that issue.

Hey well I did a couple of things and found out some interesting information. First I bit the bullet and just went out and bought a Zalman CNPS 7000B-AlCu LED Heatsink and fan. With that installed it dropped the temp to 56-58C and 60-61C when under load.

Also after talking to the guy at AMD I tried dropping my Vcore from 1.55v to 1.45v and now the temp is at 46-48c and 49-50c when under load.

My question is will this be okay, this means that I can basically never overclock this thing unless its on ice right? I have the option to send the CPU back, should I? Does anyone else have the Chaintech VNF3-250 MB and AMD A64 2800+ or 3000+ and what is your Vcore set at and what are your temps?

Thanks for any and all help on this you can give!
