Problems w/ chipset drivers, can it be the mobo? Should I RMA?

I've been having system problems everytime I install the nForce drivers on my 8RDA+ rev1.1 . I've tried everything, 4 versions of the nForce drivers, Windows Updates, Service packs, reformats, etc.

Everytime I reboot, the registry resets itself to the state it was in when I installed the nForce drivers. This means I can't install video drivers, etc. If I remove the nForce drivers, the problem goes away.

I've been trying to find a fix for this problem for 10 months. I don't know what or how I did it, but it finally worked. I installed the nForce drivers one at a time manually, and it didn't work countless times, but this time it worked. I've done the exact procedure before but this time it just worked. I don't know why.

ANYWAY, the Epox tech support said they would RMA the board, but now that I got it working I don't know if I should RMA it. I don't want to send it off, be without a computer for a month, pay the shipping, and have them send it back because they can't find a problem.

What do you think?

Thanks!

Did you try older nforce drivers? Those new ones gave me nothing but trouble especially the IDE drivers.

WinXP reverted to signed drivers, that seems to be the problem you were having. Manual install through the control panel is the fix for that.
