Hi,
While using Audiocatalyst to extract Digital Audio to wav files, my CD-Rom stops working on track #7 every time...
This happens on more than one CD so I know it's not the CD.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Shiz

Josh!
Whats up bud! Thanks for the reference =).
I just got back from my hockey game, or I woulda answered earlier. (We won) =)
Anyways...yeah Audiocatalyst used to work...I don't know why it doesn't now...however...
Since it stopped working I just realized that it gives me this message every time I start it:
"Windows is running a version of scsi1hlp.vxd that may not read digital audio"
Never used to get this, but I'm pretty sure it's the problem =).
Need some help guys.
Thanks,
Shiz.

I forgot to include that it's Audiocatalyst Version 2.1 and I CAN play CD's normally but I can't ever hear them...really weird problem because it actually made good MP3s of the first 6 songs...

have you tried a reinstall of audio catalyst?
find the scsi1hlp.vxd and tell me what version it is just right click on it and go properties and there should be a version tab
i looked it up on my system and i have version 4.10.1998 which leads me to believe it is a part of windows (ie my windows version is the same) so what version of windows do you have?
you might just want to look around for that file on another computer i am running win98 first edition so i could give you that one or you can look around elsewhere.

what do you mean by you can play cds but you can't hear them?

I just tried reinstalling Audiocatalyst...still doesn't work. And my scsi1hlp.vxd version is the same as yours (4.10.1998) =(.
Dunno what to do now...
PS: Disregard that thing about how I can't hear it when I play CDs. I just played one and it is working correctly. Still can't rip in AC though...wtf

Ok...I just tried to rip using MSCDEX and it worked...kinda.
There was a synch error during the rip...everything sounds good though.
I can't understand why I used to be able to use ASAPI to rip but now I can't...wtf.
And also...I try to turn down the speed of the extraction but it doesn't actually change the speed (which in my case is too fast and causing speed errors). If anyone can help me with this, I will appreciate it.
Thanks,
Shiz.
