Problems updateing Bios on GA-K8NXP-SLI

I am trying to update my bios on a Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI from version f6 to vf11 to prepare my system for the 4200 x2 cpu I am going to put in it .

I have tried using the @Bios utility and everytime it hangs at 87% and gives me a Bios write error. I have my old bios backed up and it restores using the @bios utility. It just wont let me update it without getting an error.

I have also tried using the Q-Flash utility that is built into my motherboard. When I enter my Bios I then press f8 to enter the Q-Flash utility. When I press Y to enter Q-Flash nothing happens. This is where the screen freezes and will not let me go any further.

Any suggestions.

Ok I got it updated to vf11. I used the @Bios utility that was on my cd that came with the motherboard instead of downloading it off the net. It still had to download the vf11 but at least it worked.

Something pretty simple that wasted a day to figure out.
