Problems uninstalling Chrome

Okay I made the huge mistake a couple of months back and downloaded and installed chrome, which I have come to find out, sucks. Problems with flashplayer etc.. Anyway I uninstalled it and came to find out it corrupts the registry in ways, no other browser has ever done before. It has left some function keys on my MS Digital Media Keyboard 3000, useless as it changes the registry upon install and leaves those changes intact after uninstall. So if anyone has come across this or knows of a solution please let me know. Also while researching solutions I've read some horror story's about what uninstalling chrome does to some email programs which I have not yet encountered.

System Restore? FWIW, I just installed and uninstalled chrome 2 days ago with no issues as far as I can tell.

Does re-installing chrome fix the issues?

Thanks for the response Bill, yes I did try re-installing chrome at one point to no avail. I just didn't want it on my system anymore and re-installing but not choosing it as the default browser was supposed to be a solution according to some articles I read. I finally took the bull by the horns, backed up everything and did a fresh install of windows 7 64bit. After much research it seemed the only way to get all my keyboard and email functions working again. I think the trick with chrome is NOT to make it the default browser, although I will never download/install it again!

The problem is clearly specific to your PC. Uninstalled Chrome last night without issue. Re-installed just fine too. Sadly the Flash problems remained though. 😛

Not really specific to my PC, google the problem, you'll see what I mean. If you didn't have it set as your default browser, then yes, you probably will not have issues. But many people have ran into these problems with outlook and other email programs as well as hotkeys.
