Problems trying to access other computers . .. .

Hello everyone,

I have just installed myself new fresh Netgear Wireless G router, whoo!! What a relief!! I finally got rid of my bug-filled Linksys BEFSR41. Well, its been fun doing business with Linksys, but too bad it didnt last that long. Well, I recently tried to log into another computer on the network and it was asking me for a password. I am certain that I did not set a password on that computer. Is there such default password I should know about?? I am sorry if this is a stupid question, I guess I am just a newbie at this. i know you'll get asked for a password if your login id and pw is not also set up on the computer(s) your want to connect to

if you dont have an account on that machine that might be the problem. is it an xp machine?

i've had the problems with those ones.
