Problems (system hang)

I just built a computer and it seems to take a very long time to start. It seems to hang just before it says detecting IDE devices just after POST. Then after it has detected the IDE devices it hangs again. Both hangs are about 15 seconds long and are very frustrating. The system was originally built with a defective power supply, and hopefully it didn't damage anything but now it has a good power supply. It's a A64 3000, NF3 250 GA-K8NS, WD 80G 8 MB Cache IDE.

If the WD hard drive is all by itself on its own IDE cable, then set its jumper block to the Single Drive setting, which I believe is accomplished by removing the jumper cap altogether. Try it now 🙂
