Problems shipping to Canada... help!!!

I have 2 packages that are AWOL that I shipped to a very reputable trader here on AT. Who do I contact regarding the packages... the USPS or Canada Post?

Interesting...I'm supposed to be shipping something to Canada soon...how did you deal with duty and whatnot? We're afraid that since it's a high-value item ($1800 is what he paid for it), it'll get taxed like crazy at customs. And BTW, who did you use to ship?

I would probably ask Canada Post.

If you're sending *into* Canada, harass Canada Post. 1-888-550-6333 during EST business hours. Right now I've got one that I sold AWOL at the border containing a hard drive, but USPS claimed to know nothing about it, so Customs somewhere is making me look like an ass. :|

Use USPS or Fedex to ship to Canada. You'll pay taxes - that's invitable and lying on the form is grounds for federal fraud charges - but at least you won't be hit with an extra duty fee unlike UPS.

So...let's say that I'm 30 minutes away from the US/Canada border...how much would duties be, i.e. how much would I save if I drove over and shipped it from within Canada?
