problems sharing in 98

I have 2 computers set up in a home network thru a netgear RT314 (plus cable modem for access). One is a custom built box running w98/w2k dual boot. The other is a gateway P3 running w98 (NOT SE). I can access the 2k box from the gateway fine. However, the gateway will not allow me to share any directories/printers. I have enabled sharing in the control panel, but then when I right click on the drive/dir/whatever, there is no sharing option. Nor under properties. Any idea for how to fix?

if there is no sharing there please verfy that you have "file and printer sharing for microsoft networks" installed and that the options "I want to share my files, and I want to share my printers" have been checked, reboot and you should have access to that option, if not something is rather messed up and I would suggest reinstalling win98

Yes, I have checked that sharing is installed and checked. I was hoping there was some solution short of reinstalling 🙁 It's my parents computer and they won't want to do that. Guess I may be stuck with a one way road on the sharing (they can see me but I can't see them)
