Here is the scenario:
Network:
Cable modem connected to Linksys wired 4-port router
Router port 1 connected to PC1
Router port 2 connected to PC2
PC1 and PC2 are defined as member of workgroup HOMENET. I can see HOMENET (and PC1 and PC2 under that) in network neighborhood on both PC1 and PC2. I have shared folders on both PC1 and PC2. I have got the same user name on both PC1 and PC2 and blank password on both.
Problem::
I can open PC2 from PC1 and access the shared folders on PC2.
When I try to open PC1 from PC2, I get the following error message:
\\PC1 is not accessible. You might have not permission to use the network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission. The network path was not found.

(b) File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
(c) Deterministic Network Enhancer
(d) TCP/IP
Obtain IP and DNS address automatically
Use NetBIOS setting from the DHCP server (tried NETBIOS over TCP/IP too)
4. Disabled Norton Antivirus
5. IP: 192.168.1.101
6. Subnet: 255.255.255.0
7. Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
PC2:
1. Running Win XP Pro
2. Following protocols installed in LAN properties:
(a) Client for Microsoft Networks
(b) File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
(c) QOS Packet Scheduler
(d) TCP/IP
Obtain IP and DNS address automatically
Use NetBIOS setting from the DHCP server (tried NETBIOS over TCP/IP too)
4. IP: 192.168.1.100
5. Subnet: 255.255.255.0
6. Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
7. DHCP Server 192.168.1.1
8. DNS Servers: 24.93.67.64, 24.93.67.65, 24.93.67.38
9. Disabled XP built-in internet firewall
