Ok, lemme give you guys a lil insight on what I've done so far.
My old computer was an HP pavillion, it had a cd rom, burner, floppy, and drive on it, and the installed OS was Windows ME.
I went ahead and got most of the components for a new computer, I went ahead and bought the case, and put a new asus p4g8x deluxe motherboard into it.
I went ahead and put my old hard drive (still with Windows ME) into the new comp, the floppy drive, and my rom and burner.
I'd like to install the windows xp professional with service pack 1 that I bought onto this hard drive, but the problem is, that my windows ME is no longer registering my rom and burner (prolly a driver issue I bet.) The problem is, I think most of these driver issues (including one where I no longer have sound after putting in the new motherboard) would be fixed up by getting windows xp installed clean, a fresh start as it were. The problem though is figuring out how to do it when it won't load my roms
Any help is much appreciated!
