Problems receiving email in Gmail

Forgive my possible ignorance if this issue is addressed someplace else (like that 7000+ post thread in Hot Deals), but...

Auto-generated email seems not to get through to my Gmail account. Over the last 3 days, I registered with Grisoft to download their AVG software, but never received the serial number in my Gmail account. I also registered with ASP.NET forums, and no email from them either.

Anyone experiencing this issue? Thanks.
 
i experianced it signing up for one site as well, so i re-registered with my primary email and it came promptly.

The account i signed up for on my gmail did eventually come, just much slower than my college email account.

Not very impressive...
