Problems reading DVD+R In T42P

Guys, I have some info on a couple DVD+R's that won't read in my T42P (Matsushita UJ-812B). This seems flaky as hell. Got the latest firmware for it and everything. Any suggestions? The dvd's are verbatim brand DVD+R 16x.
