Okay, here's the deal. I just got this motherboard off of a friend of mine. He says he's not sure if it works or not, so I'm curious as to if it would work or not. I know that it is a SS7 mobo and I'd like to put a K6-3 in it and overclock it. Can someone help me identify this motherboard and also let me know if I could test it with a Intel Pentium 133 I have laying around. I'm not sure if socket 7 mobos are compatible with socket 5 (I think that's what P133s are) cpus. Thanks.
ID needed for this mobo
Okay, now this motherboard won't even post. Here's what all I've had in it when I've tried posting:
Unknown motherboard (think it's the ECS posted below because of the big similiarities)
AMD K6-2 400 MHz
16 MB EDO RAM (it's the only thing I had laying around... and I didn't want to pull any PC133 out of my computer)
HP Floppy Drive
Acer 50X CD-ROM on the Master IDE (tricked the old HP into thinking there was a hard drive there)
Diamond Viper V550 16 MB (Nvidia TNT2 chipset)
160 Watt AT PS
Keyboard
Okay, I think that was everything. When I go to power on the computer, the keyboard lights flash, the light on the CD-ROM stays constantly lit, and the monitor goes from standby to active for under 5 seconds and then goes back to standby. Anyone have any ideas for me?
