Problems overclocking AMD64 3000+

Hey everyone,

Here is where i am now,

I have my FSB/HTT @ 240 x 9 = 2160 MHZ ( VERY STABLE )

Ram divided @ 166:200 @ 2-3-2-5 1T ( STOCK )

Vcore @ 1.45

I am running a MSI neo4 Platnium w/ 1 gb OCZ pc3200 Platnium ram

My problem is i can't seem to get it any faster, if i up it to 241 x 9 it wont post! so i have to reset my cmos. Any suggestions? I even tried uping the vcore to 1.5 and no luck and making the ram divide to 150:200. Thanks!

Is your HyperTransport below 1000? HTT multi = 3x or 4x?

my HTT is @ 4x i tried 3x but still failed to post

Relax you ram timings. Go for 2.5-3-3-6 1T and set the memory divider to something like 100:200 this takes the memory out of the equation.

Increase your Vcore to between 1.55-1.6v (hopefully you can drop this later)

Set HTT to 3x.

This should give you the maximum overclock you will get with your CPU.

Also I recommend Clockgen to alter the FSB from within Windows and Fanspeed for your temperature reads.
