My system:

-1ghz Thunderbird
-Crucual 256mb PC133 CL2 sdram and PNY 128mb PC133 CL3 sdram.
-PNY GeForce 4 TI 4200 64mb
-Abit KT7a (1.2 revision with latest BIOS)
-FOP32-1 fan
-300 Watt power supply
-2 system fans
-Other stuff: 80GB hard drive, SBLive Value, NIC

My problem isn't that I can't overclock, I can. Just that my computer is not stable at all even with small overclocking. My default is set at this:

133 FSB x 7.5 = 1000mhz

I tried overclocking with a small raise:

133 FSB x 8.5 = 1130mhz

System started up fine at that. If I made the multiplier any higher (9, 9.5), the system would be stuck at the "Verifiying DMI Pool Data" screen, or I'd get an error right after that screen.

Anyways, at 133x8.5, after the first test in 3DMark the computer would restart. Same thing after a few minutes with UT2K3. Upped the vcore by .25, same thing kept happening.

Anyways, is there anything I can do. I checked the SysOpt.com Overclocking Database and people were easily getting 1333mhz, and mine isn't stable at 1130. Is there anything I can do? I'm thinking either my processor just sucks at overclocking, or maybe it's just my power supply that can't handle it.

My 1GHZ TBird will do 1350 no problem on a MSI KT133A MOBO w/ Alpha Pep66 Heatsink. Boot's at 1.4GHZ but unstable unless I put a Hi-flow Delta but thats too noisy.

I have an AJFA :(

BTW, cubanx, what kind of power supply do you have?

In any case, someone suggested that it might be a problem with my pencilling in of the L1 Bridges, and looks like that person was right. I dropped the FSB to 100 and set the multiplier at 10, and it would crash as well.

300W may not be enough for a big oc on your T-bird. Sounds like it, considering upping vcore doesn't get you anywhere.
