Problems on youtube

Your screensaver pops up when videos are playing unless it's in full screen mode. It's really laggy right now too. Some of the video features aren't working very well either. Anyone know a solution or is waiting the only option?

I was looking into Vimeo as they have a nice clean interface, but you need Google Analytics to be turned on just to be able to search. I don't know what that is, but if it's off by default, it's probably for a good reason, and I'm not touching it.

Their videos always lag and the sound almost never matches with the videos for me.

I use an addon for Firefox (Actually it's in scrip form too for Greasemonkey) called YouTube center. I render the video in HTML5. The only problems I'm having is that the video won't start right away. Sometimes I have to reload. PITA!

I don't use a screen saver. I just have the monitor turn off in like 10 minutes and it hasn't done that in YouTube videos. Granted my laptop is plugged in when I watch videos that are longer than 10 minutes. So the monitor only shuts off in 20 minutes then.

Another thing that I noticed with YouTube is that on the main page search suggestions don't show up when you begin to type.

They keep asking for my name on sign in and I just click use my YouTube name but the bastards still keep asking me! Fuck Google!!!!

Really? I get a pop up and then nothing. There are no addons. I am blocking ActiveX in the router. I will disable and see what happens. if I find out that's the cause I'm going to be pissed as ActiveX is a form of intrusion. That's why it's a blockable option in DD-WRT's firewall. Never had this trouble before Halloween.

I don't get it. I tried another computer, updated Flash and Sliverlight (like that would help) and used a new downloaded portable Firefox and I still can't post a comment. Only Internet Explorer allows me to post a comment. I even changed the flipping IP address! And it ain't ActiveX otherwise IE wouldn't work. Google has fucked something up!
