I'm having some problems networking this sh!t. I have two computers. One is XP and the other is 98. I don't know if it's 98SE and I also don't know if it makes any difference.
I have a Linksys hub. It's 4-ports 10/100Mbp. The computer with the 98 has the cable modem installed into it. I've tried taking the cat 5 from the cable modem, hooking it up to the uplink port ont the hub and connecting two more cat 5's from each computer and it still doesn't work. I used a switch and it doesn't work. There are two cat 5 lines that run under the house. I know it's a configuration problem. HELP! OH yeah..both computers have NICs in them. And when they are all connected, only the 10Mbp light it on.
