Problems, need help with Serv-U FTP

I got this and installed it, but I've had some strange problems with it, and I'm not sure whats causing it. My brother tried upping some mp3s, and the majority of them were fine. But some of them(a few at a time) had the same filesize as some other mp3s even though it shows in the log that the right filesize was transferred. So most of the songs that were bigger than they were supposed to be play fine but showed the incorrect total time in winamp, and if you fast-forward to the extra time(where there is no music) it will just stop. But waht's even stranger is that some of them just had clips of other mp3s added onto it. So the whole song would play, and then there'd be like 15 seconds of another song.

Another problem was that some songs showed up much larger(almost double the size they should be). When I played it, It's staticy and really loud, kind of sounds like its going through the song really quickly, this lasts for a few seconds and then winamp stops playing it.

I dont think this is a problem with the ftp client my brother's using, cuz the logs show that the files with the correct sizes were transferred. But some of them were messed up like this for some reason. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with my setup?

wow, that is strange, must be a bad upload or something. are you constantly downloading or doing other things when its been uploaded, on both ends? its rare but that probably may be the cause

Sometimes I am downloading some stuff. But the weird part is how it would add part of an mp3 from my computer onto the end of it(only happened a couple times, most just had the "blank data" at the end). The upload folder is in a different partition from my personal mp3 folder too.
