When I load up my PC it stops at the POST. It posts the CPU and speed and is about to display the ide drives and then just stops. I have however got it to run through once or twice. Is it possible the motherboard is messed up, or could it be something else? Ive swapped parts in and everything works fine. Ive posted in motherboards, but I thought id try here and see if I could get some advice.

Are the IDE drives strapped as Master and Slave if they're on the same Bus?

Will it boot normally with just one HD hooked up?

yes, I tried that at first, and then went to letting it decide the master/slave. I even unplugged everything and went with just the bare minimum. When I switched out the mobo with another it worked. I beginning to think its the motherboard, but I was able to boot up before. Could it be my bios?

Could be a loose connection with the IDE on the board or maybe a faulty cable.
