I just got my new 2.4c, IS7, and 2x512 Corsair 3200. When I try to install XP I always get error messages saying that it had trouble copying a file. On average there are probably about 5 files that it can't copy. It I press retry most of the time it continues installing. I am able to finish installing XP but I always get a lot of errors in XP and sometimes it would reboot or crash or I can't install or update. But most of the time I can't even get to windows. Most of the time it reboots at the Windows loading screen. I have tried different hard drives, 2 different XP cd, different cables. I even reassembled the entire computer. I even added some voltage to the cpu and memory and agp. I tried relaxing the memory timings. I have probably tried to install XP like 10 times and everytime I get the error messages. What can be the problem? I don't think its the power supply even tho its an Allied ps which a lot of people don't like. It's 400W. Never had a problem with it before. Updated to the newest bios too.

Nope, used another drive and samething. I only have a graphic card, 1 hard drive, and one cd drive on it. I tried using 1 memory stick also. But thanks anyway.

Sounds like RAM errors.

Try checking the memory with MemTest86 - C-2-3-1-2-0-Space

Let it run a complete test.

Are you running at default everything? No OC'ing? I had troulbe going into windows but it was memory related. I had to run my PC2700 memory at the 5:4 divider. Now I have PC3500 memory and all is well.

I had the same issue...I've narrowed it down to the ICH5R southbridge. My HDD's LED would not work with the SATA drive active but would with the IDE drive. I'm back to my AOpen and am RMAing the IS7. I should have never bought it...my AOpen's kicking some arse. :)
