I'm trying to install win2k on a machine but am getting an error that says that it can't copy a DLL file (different DLLs on different installs)

It's a blue screen saying "The file Setup installed is not a valid image" or something like that.

Any thoughts on what could cause the problem. The system is an AT motherboard with an AMD-k6 II 350 processor with 128 mb of ram...

Thanks in advance!

I don't know Win2000, but it look like the system is having problem reading your cab files. Your Win2000 CD could be dirty or a un-clean BurnCopy, or your Cdrom is flaking out on you.

* Check to see if your CD have dust on its surface?
** Try copy the entire CD on to your hdd then install form hdd.
*** Remove your Cdrom and install another known working Cdrom.

yeah, just copy the i386 folder the hard drive. Then boot with a dos disk and run winnt.exe from the i386 folder.

Are you running on a overclocked system?
I could not get Win2K to install until I put my CPU at default speed.
It sounds crazy, but it is true.
